Z's Oriental Market

They have mochiko. I like the vibe here and interesting selection of foods and ingredients. Would like to see some Greek and middle eastern stuff as well!

Good little market for knick knacks and grocery items. There are a variety of lottery tickets available, and a few "live" slot machines available for play.

My husband and I often stop here to play our lottery. The cashiers are really cool/friendly and they have the best music/playlist. The location has this laid-back feel and it's so convenient to my home. Definitely one of the stores I frequently visit. Sometimes parking is minimal but that all depends on what time of the day it is. Otherwise, this is a pretty cool place.

Very neat and clean Asian Market! The employee was very helpful and friendly. Nice music and the prices were cheaper than other Asian Markets I've shopped. This will be one of my go too spots.

This place has a small assortment of Asian staples but the main attraction are the casino games and lotto tickets. The owner and clerks are very nice though and we go there frequently to pick up some curry and lotto tickets.

Oh my gosh, it's been a long, long time since I've been compelled to write a review here on Yelp. But I made a neat little discovery. A while back that I have been meaning to share with folks. I actually did a video on it but I am just now getting to it. We were planning on doing some Asian food for the college football tailgating we do and in a conversation, someone in the group mentioned this oriental market on S. Bel Air Road. About a week later, I dropped in on Z's and was really, really pleased at the help I got fro their staff, as I was not familiar with the variety or possibilities of food for what we were doing. They took the time to walk me through everything, made some great suggestion. And here's the kicker, even offered to help get me the freshest vegetables possible, if I could give the a date by which I would need it. Then, while I was there, I got some things to test on the wings...and OGM! They turned out fantastic. I became a fan like pronto with Z's. Since, I've gone by a couple other local oriental-Asian stores. y take away was that Z's was TONS cleaner, the SELL BY DATES on the food were updated (unlike one I went by), and the service was just much more helpful (and presentable). At Z's, you would not be afraid to take the samples of food I was offered while there. Some other places, no way! No parking issues. Very easy to get to, right off I-20. Hours of operation make late afternoon runs for last minute throw together meals (that's me). Anyway, my experience with Z's was fantastic and has me made feel that sharing it would be valuable to others too.
